Grade: 3-4 Stage1 – Desired Results Learning Goals/Understandings: Students will understand that… (what are the big ideas? What understandings about them are desired?) Students will understand different people/group around them from multiple perspectives. They will develop a sense of expecting diverse cultures that carry different values, traditions, and knowledge. And these differences among cultures may bring variety of interpretation in which leads to certain behaviors, interactions, and understandings. Moreover, particularly students will have a general understanding of how experiences and stories create each person’s characters and image. Lastly, students will build more sensitive compassionate heart and thoughts towards each individual.

Students will know humans are all different due to various factors. They will be able to analyze environmental, historical, and culture factors which impact on each person’s every aspects of life. They will develop both abstract and practical thinking though interpretation of ideas, opinion and facts.

Students will develop the concept of look at individuals as a whole person through their personalities, characters, family stories, experiences, values, beliefs, and religions. They will try to avoid make fast judgment to others, but to analyze each conflict between they and other people carefully and clearly.
Stage2 – Assessment Evidence
Performance Tasks:(Through what performance tasks will students demonstrate the desired understanding and skills? By what criteria will they be judged?)
* Students will look back on the historians on textbook they has learned and they will be able to use multiple perspective thinking.So that each historian figure will be made alive again and they could relate to them personally.
* Students should ask plenty questions related to understanding particular person. And they will be expected to ask the proper questions.
Stage3 – Learning Plan
Summary of Learning Activities:(what learning experiences and instruction will enable students to achieve the desired results?)
Lesson 1
1. Day-1 : Ask each student to write about the stories of one personal item, which is most meaningful and valuable to them. Ask students to bring the item to tomorrow’s class. 2. Day-2 : students will be asked to exchange their items to their neighbor’s (who seats next to them). Every student will write about their opinion, interpretation, ideas, thoughts , feelings, or even they can create a story for the object/item. 3. Day-3two neighbors will interview each other about he meaning of the item. Read to each other their writing for each of their items.
